You can also use a third-party tool to do all that job for you automatically. Make sure that you have the correct drivers first so download them from the support website. I'm not sure if that provides much more info, but just putting that out there. The Afterglow Xbox 360 controller driver can be tricky to install in Windows 10 but our guide will help you do that. However, I have noticed that the working controller shows the main driver and three device categories in its properties section, while I can only select one category for the new controller. ![]() I manually mapped the new controller to the same driver, but it still won't work. that goes into it, so I do not know if it is the mic issue, or simply an issue with the device. Again, I don't know all the programming/etc. For some reason, it reads the second controller as an entirely different device and will not use the same drivers to run it. For some reason, even getting the first one to work was a challenge, but after a driver reinstallation and a few computer resets, the computer recognised it and has been working ever since. ![]() Yes, other devices work fine, including headphones w/ a mic (logitech USB/bluetooth). That could be part of it, though I am not familiar enough with the systems to test that as the issue. ![]() They are both Xbox Afterglows, but I wasn't even aware of the Mic bit.
